Greetings everyone, here are the proposed topics for discussion for Wednesday for our weekly meeting. Please make comments.
Wednesday's Meeting: Next Semester's Structure For Students
1. Homework Assignments: Observations of student and homework indicate that there is little to no consistency. Therefore i propose to have a homework weekly schedule for each teacher. At least to collect it on specific dates.

2. Focused Strategies: We need to select three lesson strategies that are consistently effective to use with students across all subject matter. I suggest using the white boards during class discussions to get students to participate across all subjects orally. Taking notes with graphic organizers to simplify and synthesize information, and check for student understanding. Third, use PowerPoints at each step of the process. Third... Show finished work to students... MODEL, ME DO, We do, they do.
3. PBL Survey: Having students form groups again is an effective strategy. Secondly, lets let our students pre select a topic that will encompass the three academies, or create groups to target each academy's theme. Then do scheduled meetings with students and their advisors as before.
4. Bring your last class syllabus: to help us connect concepts that we use into thematic units.
